Seattle-Area Home Prices Reach Largest Year Over Year Increase On Record

The Seattle Times reports that the latest S & P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Index (HPI)  shows 25.5% year over year increases in July.  This index has a 3 month rolling average and the reports lag by 2 months. The HPI reports national year over year increases of 20.5% for the same timeframe.  Nationally, home prices climbed for the 14th consecutive month.  July was the 4th month of record setting growth.
